"Colour is my day-long obsession, joy, and torment." -Claude Monet
My introduction into abstracts happened unintentionally. During an African safari we visited one bush camp in the Okavango Delta whose surroundings were inaccessible due to the spring floods. It was here that I started playing and having a great time experimenting with the light, motion, and color of the African environment.
Abstract art uses a visual language of form, color and line to create a composition. After my African safari, I continue to play and explore with light, color, and patterns whenever possible.
"Urban Landscape" Parallels are sometimes made between the natural world and man’s. As an abstract nature and scenic photographer, I wanted to delve into the color, texture, and patterns of the urban world. Here is an abstract impression from an abandoned warehouse, the “Candoro Marble Works”- National Registry – Knoxville, Tennessee.
