"Garden of Eden" A lot of folks not familar with the underwater world perceives it as a drab and dreary place. They are partly correct because color is lost (especially the reds, oranges, and yellows) in as shallow as 20 feet. However, if a light source (ie a strobe) is placed and dialed in properly for the shot, the entire underwater world comes to life. Here a diver enjoys and cruises pass a very colorful reel wall in the Windward Isles.
"Conception " The growth of a reef begins with life. To capture an image of a coral spawn requires a lot of planning, a lot of luck, and then all the stars, moon, and planets lining up. Here is my image of a coral spawn on a shallow Caribbean reef
"Caribbean Shallow Reef" Blackbar soldierfish glide in and around this shallow reef system
"Jobah" What the Longlure Frogfish,( Antennarius multiocellatus) lacks in mobility he (or she) makes up for with ingenuity. A frogfish swims poorly (more like a hop) so it plants itself in a sponge or on a rock and waits for his meal, dangling the long white lure to attract his next dinner. This frogfish was found in Dominica,Windward Isles on Castle Comfort reef.
"That's a Croc" Crocodile Fish (Cymbacephalus beauforti) at Karumolum Point,Russells,Solomon Islands is a master of camouflauge. Crocodile fishes live on sandy or rubble substrates near mangroves, seagrass or coral reefs, in very shallow water down to at least 30 m.
"South Pacific" Remote island resort in the Fiji Island chain. Matagi Island
"Lion King" Young Lion King near Chitabe Bush Camp, Botswana,Africa
"A Kiss is just a kiss" 2 young giraffes with a little PDA going on. Botswana,Africa
"Springtime Hunt" Botswana lionesses hunt along the springtime floodwaters of the Okavango Delta.
