Abstracts
"Colour is my day-long obsession, joy, and torment." -Claude Monet
Abstract art uses a visual language of form, color and line to create a composition. I challenge myself to capture common subjects that are often overlooked and then refine the photograph into an interpretive collage of color, motion, and textures. My impressionistic abstracts are original, raw art, using photography as the medium. The image is captured within a split second where light and motion are constantly changing and evolving.

Pond Folk
I am a big proponent of finding things as they are in nature. No moving, no staging, no rearranging. This grouping of decaying pond lilies (that’s what give them their color) and the red maple leaves in the cobalt blue of the pond water at Boley Lake, West Virginia made an interesting autumn juxtapose.
