Abstract art uses a visual language of form, color and line to create a composition. I challenge myself to capture common subjects that are often overlooked and then refine the photograph into an interpretive collage of color, motion, and textures. My impressionistic abstracts are original, raw art, using photography as the medium. The image is captured within a split second where light and motion are constantly changing and evolving.

Gold Rush
Gold Rush is an impressionistic autumn abstract capturing the feelings of the Gold Rush era of California circa 1850’s.
I imagined this piece to the prospector’s wonderment of that big find yet my 2021 find was nature. Shot in Tellico Plains, Tennessee
