It Takes a Village

Sometimes it does take a village. Icelanders allow their sheep (North European Short Tailed sheep) to roam the highlands in the summer grazing. Instinctively the sheep start to come down at the end of August.

Round up is done village by village comprised of walkers, herders on horse, and walking with dogs. No worries about whose is who as all sheep are tagged. Sorting sheep out comes at the end when they are penned up.
